Frida Kahlo — 2021

Frida loves life, art and love. As one of the few women in Mexico, she goes to a high school that is supposed to prepare her for later studies. But fate has other plans for Frida: when her bus collides with a tram, she is pierced by a metal rod and almost loses her life. Confined to her bed for months, she begins to paint. Frida becomes an involuntary expert on emotional suffering and physical pain – and turns her life into a revolution.

The actor has been fascinated by Jeanne d’Arc for 20 years, and in the 2020/21 season he and Maja Delinić plan to bring her life onto the stage of the Theater Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. A thousand thoughts on a thousand ways to get closer to the French icon – in a total of four episodes à  20 minutes.
